Shocking news spreading fast on the internet insinuating that Gordon Brown tried to influence a player's work-permit promises to blow up in Prime Minister Raila Odinga's face.

Because in England, Ministers and MP's who have attempted to do the same have found themselves impeached or forced to resign, because since 9/11, matters regarding immigrants are taken as national security.

Ministers in the UK have been forced to resign after influencing work-permits, most common being for nannies and house-helps mostly from Latin America.

First, our beloved Prime Minister told us that the German Embassy was to fund the bogus coach Antoine Hey, who had been seconded to Kenya by the German Government. Now, the same man who brought us a bogus coach with Kindergarten training qualifications, has turned the heat to the British Government, claiming that he spoke to Gordon Brown who immediately sanctioned the work-permit.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the British Prime Minister has no power to make such a unilateral decision, because it would land him in a massive scandal, due to the fact that he may be seen as a beneficiary of any proposed transfer-fees. The British public would go after him, and he would not be in office a day after such an action.

Let us have a look at things from a factual perspective. Work-permits in any country including Kenya, are issued on the basis of an employer/employee contract. It is the employer who pursues for the Work-Permit and not the employee himself. Those of you currently out of the country, know this only too well.

The only time Mariga would have pursued for a work-permit himself was if he was a "Free Agent" meaning that he was unsigned and was seeking a series of trials on his own initiative.

Back to our beloved Prime Minister, he claims to have secured a permit for the pride of Kenya Mac Donald Mariga. So did he do it on behalf of Manchester City? And if Man-City were having problems with regards to acquiring the work-permit, shouldn't they have been the ones airing their grievances and not third-parties?

He claims that Mariga telephoned him and aired his plight. Can this international player be that reckless? Impossible!

As we noted, Man-City never came up and confirmed that they wanted to sign MacDonald Mariga, and never posted it on their official website. The only source of these so-called leak was UK's "Daily Mail" which was quoted all over the internet.
