" It's good riddance to Jerome resignation" KFF.
Kenya Football Federation chairman Sam Nyamweya has termed the historic resignation of FIFA's director of international relations Jerome Champagne as "Good Riddance."

In a press statement delivered to KenyaFootball.com, Nyamweya noted with concern that Champagne was the cause of the current quagmire bedeviling Kenyan Football, after he blinded himself from the actual reality and listened to a few people who had no interest in the game.

"The worst of his actions was to craft the formation of a private limited company to run the affairs of Kenyan football. His actions over the years have thus seen the total collapse of the game in the country as is evident in the performance of the national team and clubs in continental championships," Nyamweya said in his statement.

He reiterated that despite the on-going case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, KFF was fully committed to dialogue to resolve the stand-off in Kenyan Football.

The letters used to be drafted by MYSA Chairman Bob Munro and delivered through Jerome Champagne. The threats were far-ranging but mostly centered around suspension by FIFA).

Jerome Champagne's resignation has sent the crooks in the Munro-camp including the Canadian immigrant himself in panic mode, suspecting the worst to follow them.

Bob Munro's impending deportation due to his apparent defiance at resigning from all football activities and especially as Chairman of Mathare United, has had officials at KPL spend long moments on phone calls trying to re-strategize on the next moves.

As days pass by, his opponents are becoming stronger and the Government is listening to them more keenly than ever before. It is said that should CAS provide an unfavorable ruling to FKL, his activities will come under sharp scrutiny, triggering a vast chain-reaction. His defiance to resign as Mathare Chairman will only lead to his deportation, an issue which is being looked at very closely by the Government.

"Since Jerome was the one who created FKL, his resignation could only be a signal that FIFA know that they may lose the case in Zurich, due to the absolute negligent and blatant absconding of laid-down procedures in affiliating a new association in FIFA," said a senior Football official.

KFF reiterated that is does not have any problem with Fifa, their point of departure being the misinformation from a few selfish people who have personalized management of the game here and those who have tried to micromanage the game from abroad sponsored by Champagne.

"It is worth noting that it is the same Champagne who has created problems in the management of the game in many African countries among them Kenya, Nigeria and Ethiopia," Nyamweya said.

In Kenya, he had managed to make the Canadian Immigrant the defacto FIFA representative in the country, a mandate not given by the Kenyan people. Munro had in-turn used this subversion of the people's mandate to personally negotiate his own deals including FIFA funding to himself privately. Munro had also promised heaven in-terms of connections to Supersport CEO Gary Rathbone, thus earning his trust. It once led to the Supersport boss using the media to threaten cancellation of their contract to KPL, based on a letter he had received to FIFA (drafted by Munro), forcing clubs to accept FKL, when they had initially declined to. Most were of the opinion that Mohammed Hatimy is a known crook, and a conniving conman.

Champagne had created a parallel power base in FIFA even disregarding advise from other officials of the world body. According to KFF, he has started fighting CAF President Issa Hayatou and Asia's Mohammed Bin Hammam. He never cared to listen to advise from other confederations.
