FIFA President calls extraordinary meeting of FIFA Executive Committee
Due to recent events in the world of football, namely incidents at the play-offs for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa(tm), match control (refereeing) and irregularities in the football betting market, the FIFA President has called an
extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee.

The extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee will take place in Cape Town on 2 December 2009, starting at 15.00.

Indeed, a match played between Kenya vs Kuwait in Egypt played on 3rd November was organized by a betting company and fixed.

The match created a fall-out between former National Team coach Antoine Hey and FKL Chairman Mohammed Hatimy after the latter refused to give him his cut, after altering the outcome of that match.

Hatimy had received a net appearance fee of US$ 50,000.00 plus an unspecified amount to fix the match, played at a hotel-pitch in Dreamland, and widely covered in betting sites online.
