Kasuve nearly fights with journalists as FKL deny looting
By Francis Gaitho.

There was drama at a press conference called today by Football Kenya Limited after the company's Senior Vice Chairman nearly assaulted a journalist who asked him to comment on whether or not the game had already been sold to the Tunisians.

Speculation is rife that FKL may have sold the match, following what is being seen as suspicious call-ups after key players Dennis Oliech, Mac Donald Mariga and Arnold Origi missed from the list under dubious circumstances.

But at the press conference, Kasuve did openly admit that FKL received US$ 170,000 from SportFive France as a downpayment for the TV-rights.

What he also failed to mention was that FKL also received US$ 30,000.00 as appearance fees for playing against Iran in March, Kshs. 6 Million from National Broadcaster KBC, and a further Kshs. 15 Million acquired from the gate collections of both qualifier matches which have taken place this year.

The funds are said to have been distributed amongst Titus Kasuve and Mohammed Hatimy, and despite various personal problems which have afflicted the two as a direct consequence of their ruthless embezzling, they still continue looting from football coffers with impunity.

Kasuve's land was recently demolished on allegations of being on a road-reserve while Hatimy suffered from a life-threatening stroke, and despite these clear signals the two continue feasting football funds without mercy.

Currently, they are said to have received an unknown amount of money from some sources to sell the remaining qualifier matches, allegations which Kasuve vehemently denied.

The press conference came just a day after the Government released Kshs. 4.5 Million for travel expenses, but not before questioning why FKL was embezzling funds acquired through the national team.
