Without AFC, RE and Shabana in KPL there is a void in the Stadiums. Gor has successfully dodged the others' pitfalls.

Gor and AFC can still fill the stands no matter where they play. I have suggested in the past that they copy and paste Barca and Real. They need to move to the next level from community-based to community-owned. Whereby each of their fans buys a share of the club.

These shareholders should then determine who and how the team is run. From my experience in semi-pro, there are at least three layers of managing a club successfully:

- The elected officials, who are nothing but board members. They are elected by shareholders.
- The executive branch, who run the club on a daily basis. They are normally pros paid/contracted to turn the shareholders' dreams into reality.
- The club management - coach/manager and his technical staff, medical staff, fitness trainers, etc.

The coach/manager is picked and fired by the board of directors.

This is the system that KFF wanted to use under Sambu, but when KPMG picked Moni Wekesa, but then tribalism kicked in.

Taking the AFC Liverpool example; if AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia sold 10,000 shares for KShs. 10,000 they will fetch a cool KShs. 100 million!!! Enough money to run Tusker FC for 5 years!!

With this revenue: the clubs should be able to slash/discount gate tickets for their die-hard fans who can't afford today’s prices.

They should be able to professionalize fully; with complete workouts and two training sessions. The end result will be a finished product in the field and a full house in the stands.

They can purchase their own training grounds and buses without a sweat. The to-do list is endless.

Can it not be done? Aren't there more than 10,000 fans of AFC and Gor, able to buy a share for KShs. 10,000?
