What the government can do to improve Kenyan soccer
What the government can do to improve Kenyan soccer - kenyafootball.com image
There is so much the government can do to improve the Kenyan game. They can propose a new sports policy in parliament, so that it can hold officials accountable by setting objectives for all sports officials.

The Government can create youth schemes for example, set up a scholarship system for talented players from primary & secondary schools. This is what South Africa does in rugby. They have specific rugby schools where secondary players are given full scholarships and they play rugby under good coaches every day. By the time they finish form four they are complete players.

Kenyan players are flunking trials due to the lack of basics which they would learn if they were in a youth scheme.

If Hon Minister Helen Sambili works with FIFA, they will let her do whatever it takes to reform football in Kenya. What FIFA does not want is for government to do anything without their permission.
