Largely as an effect of the FIFA ban on Kenya on all football activities, Kenya continues to fall behind all its neighbors in regards to African and World Rankings.

According to the last monthly FIFA rankings (December 06), Kenya is ranked below all Confederation of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) countries other than Djibouti, Somalia and Eritrea. Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi and Sudan are now all ahead of Kenya. In 2004, Kenya was ahead of all these countries.

Despite not playing any games since Oct 06, Kenya interestingly gained five positions to be ranked at 127 up from 132 and the lowest ever in Nov 06.

Until Kenya fulfills all demands as had been laid down by FIFA, we shall continue to sit back and watch while others gain.

Nigeria is the only African country in the top 10 and continues to lead Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
